Carpigiani nasce a Bologna nel 1946 grazie al successo della “Autogelatiera” di Bruto e Poerio Carlo Carpigiani ed è oggi leader mondiale nel settore delle macchine per il gelato artigianale. Nel 2003 prende vita la scuola di formazione Carpigiani Gelato University che oggi conta altre 20 sedi nel mondo con 7.000 studenti l’anno. Nel 2012 nasce il Gelato Museum Carpigiani, il primo museo al mondo interamente dedicato alla storia sociale e tecnologica del gelato.
